Join us for a virtual author talk with Caroline Ailanthus, science-fiction writer and author of Ecological Memory. Caroline lives in Maryland I went to college in Vermont and summers working in the state for Green Mountain Club.
Her novel, Ecological Memory, is an example of “ecological fiction.” It’s likely to appeal to anyone who enjoyed Flight Behavior, by Barbara Kingsolver or Overstory, by Richard Powers. Although this book was written well before COVID-19 existed, it is set twenty years after a catastrophic pandemic and deals with recovery and resilience on personal, societal, and ecological levels. That makes it unexpectedly timely, perhaps a source of perspective and hope. Attend via Zoom! https://us02web.zoom.us/j/88658130038?pwd=T01UYW1MK0VyY2l0UlFRK2hITFRzQT09
