Beeswax paper DIY

  • Varnum Memorial Library 194 Main Street Jeffersonville, VT 05464 United States (map)

The Lamoille Regional Solid Waste Management District (LRSWMD) and the Varnum Memorial Library are offering a fun do-it-yourself Beeswax Food Wrap workshop! Beeswax food wraps are a reusable, breathable and antimicrobial alternative to single-use plastics and aluminum foil for food storage. The wraps can be reused hundreds of times. We will have a supply of fabric available, but if you have any fabric scraps at home, this could be the perfect use for them! Fabric MUST be 100% cotton (if it isn’t, the wax won’t stick). Because we will be using hot irons and the beeswax itself will get quite hot, age 14+ unless accompanied by an adult. Registration is limited to the first 12 people to sign up.

*As a reminder, all youth under age 13 must be attended by an on-site responsible adult
